This diary is of the journey of mini long-hair dachshund Daisy, age five, who developed IVDD in February 2023 … alongside the trials, triumphs, disasters and kind-of good days of her owner, me … age nearly-62.

I hope sharing my experiences of having a daxie with IVDD might offer you reassurance in the early hours that you are not alone. And you might pick up some tips that ease your overwhelm, of being lost, not knowing what to do … and help you find moments of being back in control …
